Yea!!!
I got an award!!!
Well, today is the Canberrans' Day...
Apart from the fact that I'm conducting the band, I'm also one of the award winners....
Well, basically I received the Service Merit Award...
This award is just to show how I've done in my band....
Actually to get awards like this is not so easy....
You really have to put in a lot of effort in your CCA that you've participated....
Is not that I want to boast myself...but in fact, a lot of people know that I'd actually spent more time in CCA than in my schoolwork....which is not advisable.....
I was really nervous this morning....
Having the thought of conducting the band was really making me so excited....
Finally, I can reveal my wish already, actually one of my wish was to conduct the band and it really came true....
I'm so happy....
Another thing was that, Mr. Puvan was the one who present our awards to us which really made me felt honoured....
Then after I came down from the stage, I actually reported to Mrs. Teo that I need to leave for another place....
Actually what was the place?
It was my school band, as in Ngee Ann Polytechnic Concert Band(NPCB)...
By right it was suppose to start at 10am but I was excused for the games because of the Canberrans' Day....
Then I reached there like about 12noon....
It was actually time for lunch....
Then we came back at 1pm for band practice....
My conductor, Mr. Tan(Can't remember his full name as it is so long)....was quite a nice guy....
Then we went through tuning which I had never done before in my secondary school band...
Then we went through chorales, is actually a polytechnic version of 'I Recommand'...
Then we went through like 5 pieces of music....
Firstly I skimmed through all the pieces, i was totally shocked when I see rhythms that I have never see before...
And it was really my first time playing with the band without stopping....
It just went through the whole piece....
There were like not much stopping....
It totally crazy....
Then after playing, I felt like it was not difficult at all, I was like feeling totally shiok after playing....
It was so fun and exciting to hear music which I heard before and now I'm playing it...
I can just describe in one word: cool....
Then another thing that shocked me was...
One of my primary schoolmates happens to be one of the clarinetists....
Her name is called Faiezah....
After band, we actually got into the same bus...
She was like totally forgotten about me le....so sad....
But I tried my very best to refresh her memory....
She's still managed to remember some people is our class during our primary school times....
Then we had a long chat till we reached Admiralty where she live....
When I reached back to Sembawang, I saw a few of my band juniors still around at the bubble tea shop....
Then went home....
Oh yes! Forgot to mention....
I'll be having a concert with my band during the first week of the June break....
Then at the end of the year will be a competition and a final year concert as well so it will be like kind of stressful but this is somehow what we should be experiencing....
Got to go le...bye...
